Laminate Flooring
Our laminate flooring products are inherently good environmental choices in floor covering. It is engineered to last for a long period of time. It also offers a long life span that minimizes replacement. While Laminate simulates the upscale look of a natural product like an exotic hardwood or ceramic tile, the actual material isn't used and the natural resource preserved. Shaw laminates feature EnviroCore™ and use 98% less newly harvested wood than conventional engineered hardwood products.
Hardwood Flooring
Our hardwood flooring uses 50% less newly harvested wood than conventional wood flooring. It is made with a dense inner core composed of wood fiber by-products created in the manufacturer of other products that are otherwise burned or put into landfills. The outer core is made from premium wood veneers that come from managed forests. We also carry hardwood flooring that is made from 100% wood by-products and represents one of the most environmentally responsible hardwood products available.
Bamboo Flooring
Bamboo flooring is a great flooring solution that is very durable. As a hardwood is it very eco friendly in that it grows very fast and can be replenished quickly after being harvested. Bamboo is different than other hardwoods because it will not break under that same pressure that would cause other wood crack. Bamboo flooring is also very easy to install as it can be installed directly on the sub-floor even if the sub-floor/concrete is below grade. It is available in many colors, grains and styles like other hardwood flooring but it and with it being very cost effective it is a sustainable solution that will let you establish the beautiful look you want to create.
